Lab 2: Cartography

Image
This week I read chapters 1 and 10 from "Introductory Geographic Information Systems" and listened to two separate lecture videos on those chapters. Each lecture had an accompanying downloadable slideshow which I found helpful for taking notes. I will also be able to refer back to them in the future if I ever need to.  After finishing the readings and lecture, there was a quiz on the material that was gone over this week and a cartography lab that I had to complete. The lab took a little longer than last week, but I learned how to use many more of the features and tools in ArcGIS. I learned how to insert text boxes, legends, logos, scales, north arrows, and labels. Working with more data this week was exciting!
